Weclome to the Margosphere

Hi, I’m Margaret!

I am a Georgetown University graduate with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Art, Computer Science, and media studies! I’m currently working on a hybrid 3D/2D thesis project, Maud Dog, an interactive narrative-fiction experience. If you are interested, check my instagram for updates on that project!

I started my career in animation working as a production assistant on the Forgotten Four series for Meow Wolf Denver, and have since worked in production and animation on many different projects of various scopes. I am also a developer, working in Unity, Blender, and Adobe software to create simulations, games, and 3D experiences. I started my 3D career at Georgetown with Dr. Evan Barba working on Google’s Trainer, and have since expanded that interest into game design and 3D art!
I am passionate about storytelling and believe that technology has an amazing potential for expressing powerful ideas. The intersection of tech and entertainment is where I envision myself thriving in a career.

The above photos are from a personal project and show a bit of my design process for visual hand-drawn projects (though I follow the same methods for 3D work)–I start with a rough design, clean up the artwork and add in additional details, block in color, and finally I add in my lights and shadows to bring the work to life!

I’ve been fortunate to have experience in both the tech and art world, and I believe my experience and skillset reflect a blend of creativity, curiosity, and problem solving. If you’d like to get in touch, feel free to use the Contact Me form on my website or email me at mrn39@georgetown.edu.
